Big Box Adventures

Got a big box? Boxes are blank canvases waiting to be transformed into something magical. Give one to your kid and you'll notice that within seconds they find a new use for it. A car? A castle? A cave? They are definitely the epitome of open ended play (followed by sticks possibly).

As soon as M got a hold of this box she went and got her flashlight and got to work. I love how her creativity just flows without overthinking or worrying.

Materials:

• Flashlight

• Markers

• Paints

• Stickers

Create time:

Let your child decide how they will paint or draw on the box. They may want to start by drawing/painting the outside of the box and then move to the inside. They can sit inside the box or turn the box over and turn it into a cave. This project can be a multi-day event and you can continue to add to it for tons of texture and colors!
